The landscape is gorgeous in AZ and I’ve enjoyed it on several trips; however, I would NEVER want to live there. And the reason probably isn’t what you’d think. It’s because I despise the heat!
Much of AZ gets way too hot and water is a concern. Northern Az gets snow in the winters and stays fairly cool in the summers due to elevation. But not my bug out location, just visiting for awhile.
Like many places high density population is already problematic with social cohesion and services. In a stressful situation it will falter and fail ,imo and the opinion of many strategists.
"Inertia" seems to plague too many of us, but some like yourself do operate outside the normie box.
Not too far away, live in NW GA south of Chattanooga. Travel over to Huntsville area just south of Ardmore fairly frequently.
If we are well armed and supplied with food stocked up, We will prevail in local communities hopefully. Wish i had better ideas and I'm always welcome to others inputs.
Hey Neighbor, My Wife and I live in Verde Valley, Cottonwood to be exact. Just over the mountain from you. Seems I recall a trip you might have mentioned to California. So you might be heading up through Chino, and on to Ashfork to catch I-40, trying to avoid the People's Republic of Flagstaff, and the snow. Safe Journey Sir!
I was in Prescott for that picture, now in Tucson for a few days, then to Abilene , TX for a few more days, actually "home" is currently NW GA, just south of TN. line.
AZ has surely been politically screwed over, but then GA isn't any testimony of virtue either. We all seem to be in a pickle and we are going to have to figure out for ourselves how best to handle it.
