I got a haircut today in a NW GA town and the culturally conservative lady barber had no idea of the Antifa riot in Atlanta a few days back. Perhaps we really never left the 1880s afterall, but to be honest, I don't "keep up" much with Atlanter either, almost as remote as DC.
Oh, boy, when I came back from teaching in Europe, I nearly bought a condo in Atlanta. Good thing I didn't. Living in my small house with my wife in rural Kentucky is a lot more pleasant.
