This is the first one. I’ve listened to him on YouTube. I belonged to a fundamentalist church from 1976 to 1995. Heavy in prophecy and Bible study. Then I left for a mainline church with what I find milk toast sermons now. My past churching put me on notice of what was really going on. Glad I got it. My current church tells new pastors we don’t want any of that devil and Satan stuff. Good grief. I’m looking around but nothing local is going to be any different.
I was a pastor’s daughter. But somewhere in the mid 90’s I started questioning everything too. We left the church after my parent’s deaths. I found out that someone I knew was teaching a prophecy and current events class at a church nearby. I had always loved prophecy. We started going and loved it.
The teacher started talking about the Feasts of the Lord. We had people driving over an hour to come to our little country church and attend this class. And suddenly we were told we couldn’t talk about the Feasts of the Lord or about the Sabbath. We all left.
We started a small study group, and those who were really hungry came. It’s a small group, but it is so good to be with those who really want to know what the Word says.
I hope you find a group like that. Maybe you could start one?
Great. Thank you. I need that now. My past church kept the Feasts according to the Bible. Christ was keeping the same Feasts up to crucifixion. The Saturday sabbath. But it was also missing the message of grace and deep relationship with Christ and full on Gods love. Those feasts meant a lot to me. That church has split several times. Initially because of that grace. God is with us.
Prayers that our Father will, in His mercy, lead you to a congregation that loves Him, loves His Worx and loves each other. I am placing you on my prayer list, sis.
