There will be some few defections from the Feral Polezi and Military, but these will be individuals standing for the Constitution and the Patriot portion of the population, The Organizations/Units and command structures will obey the Coup gov just as they are now.

This leaves some scattered local LE Sheriffs Depts, Patriot Veterans, and Civilian gun owners to form militias in the midst of an ongoing invasion, with a crashed (EMP or Hacked) electrical grid causing water and food shortages in the populace which is descending into rioting and anarchy in every medium to major city.

Add in the approx 40 to 60% of the population who are apparachiks of the Coup gov, Or politically favorable to it, Or indifferent to resisting the DC Coup Feral Bolshevik democRats AND Quisling rinoRats in Con-gress.
