The American Revolution began from 1775 at Lexington&Concord to the politicians of the day FOLLOWING the Obvious, and Declaring Independence a year later, in 1776 wih a State of War, thru to the Paris Peace Treaty of 1783. though major hostilities lessened after the surrender of Lord Cornwallis earlier at Yorktown, VA.
His Brittanic Majesty acknowledges the said United States, viz., New Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, to be free sovereign and Independent States; that he treats with them as such, and for himself his Heirs & Successors, relinquishes all claims to the Government, Propriety, and Territorial Rights of the same and every Part thereof.
These “free and Independent States” later signed “A Constitution” in 1788 of Mutual Federation of LIMITED and LISTED Powers granted to a Central Government. A “contractual agreement” with Rights and Reservations clearly stated in 10 Amendments called The Bill of Rights. This was Necessary to gain Ratification of this Constitution that Created a Republic, Not a Demoncrazy.
